One of the benefits of the work I do is that I have the opportunity to work with schools and districts in a way that supports their journey with best practices. I am fortunate enough to do this important type if work in Nashville, TN.
Nashville also happens to be one of those places rich with history and beauty, and I'm glad I had a chance to sprinkle some of that in at the end of my day and before I hit the plane (for my next destination).
Last time I was in Nashville everyone said I had to go to the Opry hotel. Otherwise known as Opryland? I didn't get it. And then I went.

This place is like a city! If you were to stay there, there is absolutely no reason for you to leave. They have restaurants, shops, and beautiful gardens to walk around and enjoy.
Below is Sarah & I enjoying the boat ride through the hotel. I'm glad she decide to vaca down in Nashville while I was working! We had a good time exploring the city after my work day ended.

The Grand Ole Opry was a visit as well. I was excited that Trace Atkins made a surprise appearance. Does that age me? ;)

And right before (literally) getting on the plane I squeezed in Belle Meade Mansion. As much as I'm not a history buff, I always enjoy learning about the history of our country at places that are rich with stories.

I could clearly play in this doll house today. My height keeps me kid sized.
I look forward to working (and playing) in Nashville again!!
