Indy, I'm Glad I Came

Indianapolis was a bit of a whirlwind trip. I left Nashville and flew there for a day of work. I arrived there after midnight and was up & at 'em around 6 to get ready for my day. I can not begin to say how much I enjoyed the work I did here! The people I worked with were incredibly welcoming and their sense if humor made me forget how little sleep I actually had.

I received this as appreciation for my work when I arrived home.

It was a nice surprise!

I did get to see a bit of downtown during my early morning run. What a clean and stunning area! I didn't take any pix because I was running. But I was able to grab a few after eating a late lunch before my plane ride home.

Downtown had a canal. It is such a peaceful place to walk. And if you're not in the mood to walk then you can ride a bike, Segway, or enjoy a gondola ride.

There is also a memorial for those who lost their lives on the USS Indianapolis. Such a sad story. Todd gave me all of the history on this tragedy, but if you've ever seen Jaws then you are familiar with the story.
