In the Bog

Gillette Stadium
The last time I was at a cranberry bog was when I was a kiddo in Cape Cod.  If I remember correctly, my dad took us.  It fascinated me then as it does today.  Franklin is actually about an hour (at least) from the Cape, and I was not expecting a bog to be in Franklin.  But there I was, searching for a place to walk when Trip Advisor recommended the Nature Trail at Patriot Place.  (It's important to know, if you ever go there yourself, that its actually behind the Brass Pro shop right before Gillette Stadium.)  During my leisurely walk I took a few pix.

The trail isn't all that long; maybe a 1/2 - 1 mile.  But what's make it nice for someone who is geographically challenged (like me) is that it is just a loop.  Also, if you are unfamiliar with how cranberries are grown, there are signs posted along the trail explaining.  What's even better is that once you are done with you are walk you can hop back into your car to go to dinner at one of the restaurants at Patriot Place.
